2014

WOW! 2013 is gone! I had some good times and some bad times. I am glad to see the year go and welcome a new. By now, most people have their resolutions set. I usually do not make many, but I set a few more goals than usual. We spent the night in bed..I watched movies and Tommy played World of Lamecraft. Liam was asleep by 8:30PM! We had a more eventful day. I ice skated for 7 years and wanted to get back into it (I'll get into this when I talk about resolutions). Tommy used to play hockey and was also looking for a way to get back into shape. I thought it would be a great idea to take Liam to the rink. After all, there is no excuse when the rink is 5 minutes away! LIAM LOVED THE ICE!! He was a little scared at first, but within 10 minutes he was asking to go faster and faster. Needless to say, he is going to be enrolled in lessons at his request. Tommy got on the ice like a bird takes off into the sky: effortless! As for me, I quickly felt old injuries (mostly to my ankles and right inner thigh) come to life. I did not feel comfortable on the ice when I first got on and was upset with myself. But I knew I would regret not trying so try I did! Eventually, I started picking up my pace and felt great. Luckily, I can remedy my ankle issue with skating braces. I hope everyone had fun celebrating the arrival of a new year! I wish everyone love, happiness and hope. I will leave you with my resolutions and a few(ok a lot) of my favorite photos from 2013.

MY GOALS FOR 2014: Find a job I love... and commit to it.
Read devotional daily.
Get more sleep.
Remind myself to drink more water.
BREATHE!
Enroll Liam in his choice of sport and support his goals
Save more. Spend less.
Bake or make my own sweets.
Ballet 4 days a week. (I am enrolled for February..so excited!)
Take ice-skating lessons with Liam (Ballet came back to me a little more naturally than skating did, so a refresher would be nice!)
Have one date night with Tommy a month.
Dedicate time for family.
Do at least one good deed a month and smile at strangers daily.
Read more books.
Blog more often.
Avoid Facebook as much as possible.
Commit to using my planner to track important dates and goals.
Send more birthday cards.
Praying for people who make poor choices or anger me.
Find more ways to organize.
I am sure I will alter these goals here and there..
